Kelsey Williams is a freelance musician and horn teacher. She completed her bachelor’s degree in music education from SUNY Fredonia and her master’s degree in horn performance from Northwestern University. Kelsey enjoys an active performing career. She has played with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Grant Park Festival Orchestra, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra of Columbus, and the Richmond Symphony. Kelsey has held various teaching positions at the Merit School of Music, Lincoln Park High School, Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative, as well as Chicago High School for the Arts. Williams is very passionate about mental wellness, particularly as it relates to a career in music. She is cofounder of the organization Sound Mind – striving to end the stigma surrounding mental health in the classical music world.
