CONCERT DETAILS
This distinctly American program features pianist and composer Aaron Diehl, kicking off his second season as the MSO’s artistic partner with Gershwin’s Concerto in F. Copland’s cowboy ballet Rodeo is a joyful romp through the American West in this symphonic suite. William Grant Still, often called “the dean of African-American composers,” wrote his lyrical Symphony No. 2 as a depiction of the Black experience and a vision of an integrated society.
This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts
The MSO Steinway piano was made possible through a generous gift from Michael & Jeanne Schmitz
