CONCERT DETAILS

Happy birthday, Beethoven! The MSO joins the world in celebrating the 250th birthday of this legendary composer. Ken-David Masur conducts Beethoven’s Seventh, a rousing symphony originally performed as a benefit for wounded soldiers. Currier composed Aether expressly for violinist Baiba Skride; “aether” refers to fresh air, or in Currier’s words, “the air the gods breathe.”
