CONCERT DETAILS

The hunt is on in Bruckner’s “Romantic” Symphony, which begins with daybreak and puts the horn section to work during its lively “Hunting of the Hare” movement, some of the best-loved of all of Bruckner’s music. The Times (London) named guest artist Stephen Hough “the living advocate” of Mendelssohn’s First Piano Concerto, praising Hough’s “immaculate timing, pacing, and placing of every note.”
The MSO Steinway piano was made possible through a generous gift from Michael & Jeanne Schmitz
