CONCERT DETAILS

Mais oui, this program delights in the work of French composers, beginning with Lili Boulanger’s effervescent “Of a Spring Morning.” Canteloube arranges French folk songs for soprano and orchestra in his Chants (Songs). Messiaen and Duruflé set the sacred to music: Messiaen’s “The Forgotten Offerings” is a work of deep personal devotion, while Duruflé adds his touch to the traditional Latin Requiem.
