The city of Milwaukee broke new ground with the inauguration of its annual city-wide Hip Hop Week in 2018, making it the first American city to establish a festival celebrating the genre while forging a path toward transformative community engagement. The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is pleased to serve as a partner venue for Hip Hop Week 2023! ABOUT HIP HOP WEEK 

An official City of Milwaukee event approved by the Common Council in 2018, Hip Hop Week MKE celebrates the culture of the Hip Hop music genre. It includes a series of Hip Hop themed performances and programming focusing on the three key issues of health and wellness, financial literacy, and civic engagement, with the goal of bringing residents of Milwaukee together.
