CONCERT DETAILS
Conductor and composer Matthias Pintscher leads the MSO in his violin concerto Assonanza, written in partnership with violinist Leila Josefowicz, who performs here. “It’s the first time in my compositional life that a work of art really emerges out of a true collaboration, trust, fondness, love, togetherness,” Pintscher says of Assonanza. This scintillating program also includes Debussy’s exceptional “Ibéria,” with movements evoking Spanish street life, bustling markets, and dreamy fragrances, as well as Ravel’s iconic Boléro.
