CONCERT DETAILS

“Rise again, yes, rise again!” The MSO season closes with Ken-David Masur conducting Mahler’s immense “Resurrection” Symphony, in which the composer contemplates the enormity of life itself. This masterwork begins with an anguished search for meaning and builds in hope toward a triumphant, joyous promise of life restored. The Milwaukee Symphony Chorus lends its voice to Mahler’s optimistic text — “With wings which I have won for myself… I shall soar upwards toward the light!”
