Broner McCoy
Bass

Broner McCoy joined the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in June 2025. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, he studied at Indiana University with Jeff Turner and Kurt Muroki and later at Northwestern University with Andy Raciti.
His orchestral training includes appearances at the Pacific Music Festival, the National Orchestral Institute, and the New York String Orchestra Seminar. Prior to joining the MSO, McCoy was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. In 2024, he was honored as the inaugural recipient of the Al Fisher Award from the International Society of Bassists.
In addition to his performing career, Broner is an accomplished bow maker. His bows are played by professional musicians in ensembles across the United States and Canada, including the Milwaukee Symphony.
