Georgi Dimitrov
Viola
Georgi T. Dimitrov is thrilled to join the Milwaukee Symphony and play in its beautiful Allen-Bradley Hall.
Georgi was born in Bulgaria and came to the United States as a high school student. He graduated from Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts and enrolled in college at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California. As a graduate student at the University of Southern California, Georgi studied viola, conducting, and composition.
Georgi has been invited to perform with the Baltimore, Indianapolis, North Carolina, Los Angeles, San Diego, Utah, and the Florida Orchestra symphonies.
Georgi has an unruly cat and he would love to supplement her indecisive presence with a bulky dog as soon as possible.
Georgi plays on a Mario Miralles Zanetto viola generously loaned to him by the Maestro Foundation of Santa Monica.
