Vinícius Sant'Ana

First Violin

Vinícius Sant’Ana is an acclaimed Brazilian violinist celebrated for his expressive artistry and leadership. He has performed internationally in Brazil, China, Japan, Argentina, the Czech Republic, and Italy, and made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2014 as concertmaster of the Pão de Açúcar Orchestra. A founding member of the Griffon String Quartet, ensemble-in-residence at the Midsummer’s Music festival, he also performs regularly with the Milwaukee and Madison Symphony Orchestras. Sant’Ana holds degrees from the University of North Dakota and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. A dedicated educator, he teaches violin and viola at Maranatha Baptist University, conducts the Suzuki Strings Ensemble in Madison, and serves as a violin and chamber music coach at the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras.
