CONCERT DETAILS
Happy birthday, Bach! In celebration, Music Director Ken-David Masur and the MSO perform two complete programs of Bach favorites with the help of harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani and Baroque violinist Rachell Ellen Wong, Grand Prize winner of the inaugural Lillian and Maurice Barbash J. S. Bach Competition. This first of two programs includes two of Bach’s famed Brandenburg Concertos, the balanced and brilliant Violin Concerto in E major, and finally the Orchestral Suite No. 3 with its cherished “Air” movement for strings.

Pre-Concert Performance
Join us in the Atrium from 6:45- 7:15 pm for a performance featuring the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO), Ravenna Helson, conductor.

Free Panel Discussion - Bach and Our World
Join us between the Saturday, March 23 concerts for a free mid-day festival panel discussion from 5:00- 6:00 pm in the Ellen & Joe Checota Atrium featuring Music Director Ken-David Masur, MSO Chorus Director Cheryl Frazes Hill, with special guests Rachell Ellen Wong, violin, and Mahan Esfahani, harpsichord, titled “Bach and Our World". Plus enjoy special performances by community partners Chant Claire and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in the Ellen & Joe Checota Atrium.
Post COncert Performance
Join us for a post concert performance in the Gallery from 4:30 - 5:00 pm featuring Wisconsin Conservatory of Music performers.
