Milwaukee Symphony Neighborhood Residency 2018: Bay View!
The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Bay View present “Symphony in the Neighborhood” next spring! From porches to bars to markets, we’ll bring the music out of the concert hall and into the community where people live, work, and play.
Last year’s Symphony in the Neighborhood took place in Riverwest and Harambee, and kicked off at Riverwest24. With a Secret Symphony at Flux Design to street serenades on Holton and Center, we popped up all over the place. Now it’s Bay View’s turn! The MSO will appear where you least expect them over the coming months, and we can’t wait to bring our music to you in April 2018. Check back here for updates on where you can find performances.
The Neighborhood Residency is all about the (you guessed it) neighborhood. We’re cooking up a Secret Symphony, family style orchestra concert, salon, and all kinds of other appearances for our Bay View friends. Whether you prefer a game of “Name that Tune” in your favorite corner bar, or a traditional concert with your cello-playing high schooler, we’ve got you covered. And don’t worry – you don’t need a tie.

Bay View’s musicians, lively restaurant and festival scene, and active neighborhood association makes for a perfect partner for our second annual Symphony in the Neighborhood! The residency may not take place until April 2018, but we’ve already played Chill on the Hill and will be back for Bay View Bash and other events this year. We’re just getting started! In partnership with the Bay View Neighborhood Association, we’ll present over 20 unique experiences during our week-long residency.
