Symphony In the Neighborhood

Milwaukee Symphony Neighborhood Residency 2018: Bay View!
April 6-15

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the Bay View community present Symphony in the Neighborhood. From porches to bars to markets, we’ll bring the music out of the concert hall and into the community where people live, work, and play. Our week-long residency project includes a free full-scale symphony performance at Bay View High School (Tuesday, April 10) and a Secret Symphony pop-up performance at Milwaukee Blacksmith (Saturday, April 14).

Bay View Neighborhood Association and the Milwaukee Symphony are sponsoring a food drive for the Bay View Community Center throughout the week. In addition to a common drop-off space at the Bay View Community Center, there will also be boxes available at the following events:

  • Friday, April 6 at Kick Off event with Twisted Path
  • Sunday, April 8 at Outpost Natural Foods
  • Tuesday, April 10 at Bay View High School community concert
  • Saturday, April 14 at Secret Symphony at Milwaukee Blacksmith
  • Sunday, April 15 at Bay View United Methodist

Bay View’s musicians, lively restaurant and festival scene, and active neighborhood association makes for a perfect partner for our second annual Symphony in the Neighborhood! “Bay View has an incredibly active and amazing neighborhood association, business owners engaged in their community, and enthusiastic volunteers who are committed to Bay View.” said Mark Niehaus, MSO president and executive director. “We are excited to partner with this thriving community. We’ll see you around town!”
