The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra launched the Lullaby Project in Milwaukee during the 2017.18 season. Now in its second season, “There’s no lack of need for this project, and there’s no lack of possibilities for it,” shares Director of Education Rebecca Whitney.

In partnership with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute, the Lullaby Project invites mothers to create and record personal lullabies for their babies with the help of professional musicians. The MSO has partnered locally with Sojourner Family Peace Center to provide life-changing musical experiences to the mothers and families served.

All gifts made on #GivingTuesday 2018 will support MSO education and community programs. This year, our goal is to raise $7500 in support of vital MSO Education and Community programs such as the Lullaby Project. This amount could fully pay for five of our participants’ lullabies to be arranged, performed, and recorded professionally with MSO musicians, giving these strong mothers and their children a truly transformative musical experience as a part of their journey towards wellness.
