CONCERT DETAILS
Please join for the annual Audrey G. Baird Stars of Tomorrow concert. Our three finalists will perform their concerto movements with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra on the first half. This year’s finalists are:
- Johana Kim, performing the Carmen Fantasy for Flute and Orchestra by Francois Borne
- Colette Wiering,performing the third and final movement, Allegro giocoso, ma non troppo, from Concerto in A minor for Violin and Orchestra by Antonín Dvořák
- Malina Zhang, performing Zigeunerweisen for Violin and Orchestra by Pablo de Sarasate
After intermission and the announcement of the 2026 Stars of Tomorrow Winner, the semifinalist and honorable mention students from the February competition will perform Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio espagnol, and Stravinsky’s Suite from The Firebird side by side with the musicians of the MSO. The concert is free and open to the public but reservations are still required.
