Teen Series

Designed for students in grades 7 through 12, this program aims to expose older students to large-scale works of the classical repertory.

To further engage high school audiences in the orchestral experience, conductor Randal Swiggum will once again host the MSO Teen Concert in 2016.17. He will share biographical and repertoire notes from the stage during the performance, providing additional context for the music performed. In addition, each student will receive a Teen Guide, specially created for the concert.

    February 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.  |  Uihlein Hall

    Yulia Van Doren, soprano

Featuring the 2017 Teen Choral Partners competition winners

“In Poulenc, there is something of a monk and something of a rascal,” said French music critic Claude Rostand.  A French masterpiece that is as profoundly spiritual as it is effervescent, hear the MSO perform Poulenc’s dazzling and colorful Gloria with the 2017 Teen Choral Partners.
