MSO Youth Concert Series: Travels and Tales

The MSO invites you to our exciting season! From spooky storytelling to travelling around the world and even through space, you won't want to miss these exciting Youth Series programs!

Designed for students grades 3 through 8, these programs - approximately 45 minutes in length - make connections with the following areas of study:

Spooktacular Tales!

How would you tell a spooky story without using words? Join the MSO for tales of witches, fairies, kings and magicians as we learn how composers use the art of storytelling in music. From the exciting and dramatic Sorcerer's Apprentice to the light and fun Harry's Wonderous World, come along as the MSO performs your fantastic favorites!

Bring your imagination and join the MSO in an exciting trip through outer spac! Visit alien friends, explore new planets, and hurtle through uncharted galaxies in your spaceship with music from ET, Holst's The Planets, and Star Wars as your guide. Through the use of video, your students' artwork becomes a part of this very special presentation!

More About the Youth Series

Docents

Prior to each Youth Concert, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra League Docents receive intensive training to prepare them for classroom visits that prepare students for the upcoming concerts in a fun, interactive, and educational way. These visits are provided for the Youth Series programs only at no cost to schools. On your reservation form, please indicate if you are interested in having a docent visit your classroom.
