The British Isles

Christopher Warren-Green, seen internationally last summer when he conducted at the Royal Wedding, brings music of England to Milwaukee. Walton’s “Crown Imperial” was composed for the coronation of King George VI. Vaughn-Williams’ hauntingly beautiful Fifth Symphony was written in the darkest days of the Second World War. And Max Bruch’s impressions of Scotland are played by the dynamic Jennifer Frautschi. “A fiercely intense soloist,” states the Spokane Review.
